Tall Bob offers a specialised endpoint for managing Two Way Chat at scale, which ensures that multiple conversations between businesses and clients are not confused in a single conversation thread. Some businesses that require managing high volumes of two-way communication with their customers are:

This is achieved through the use of dedicated long codes and a 2-part key that manages the long code when sending messages. Businesses need only specify a reference in the payload and the recipient's phone number, after which the platform automatically manages the entire process of assigning a long code from a pool of dedicated long codes attached to the business's account. The Tall Bob system ensures that conversations remain distinct and clear, without the risk of confusion or miscommunication.

Example Scenario for using Chat SMS Endpoint
Scenario: Vaccination follow-up
- A mother and three children receive vaccinations at a doctor's office
- The vaccination program includes a follow-up SMS to check for any side effects
- The mother's mobile number is used as the contact number for all four patients
- If a dedicated long code is used for 2-way messaging, the mother will receive a follow-up message from the same long code for all four patients, asking if any side effects were experienced
