Why am I seeing traffic from outside of my region?

There are a number of reasons that you may see page views from unexpected locations, such as the United States. These include, but are not limited to: 

• Bot traffic such as Microsoft Office or other browser plugins that are scanning links (we attempt to filter out these 'views' where possible)
• User is utilising a VPN (Virtual Private Network). This may result in their traffic appearing to come from an unexpected location due to the way traffic is being routed.
• Invalid IP Address location data. IP Addresses from time to time get reassigned to new regions, but there can sometimes be a lag between this new data being available, resulting in innacurate location data being presented.
