My Sender ID is unregistered what do I do?

What do I do if my Sender IDs aren't registered?

Take a breath, Tall Bob has some options for you.  Before you choose, keep the following in mind:

  1. The ACMA Sender ID Registry and enforcement are active from the 1st of July
  2. Any message sent from an unregistered Alphanumeric Sender ID will be delivered to recipients as "Unverified"
  3. Registering a Sender ID is not instant; it takes a minimum of 24–48 hours to complete

Your options

  1. Do nothing: your messages will continue to send, but will appear as "Unverified" to recipients until your Sender IDs are registered
  2. Temporarily block sending: pause outbound traffic on your account while you get your Sender IDs registered
  3. Substitute your Sender ID with a Long Code or a Verified Alphanumeric: route messages via a Long Code temporarily, or another Alphanumeric Sender ID you have approved, so they reach your customers without appearing as "Unverified"

Temporarily block sending

If you need to pause all outbound traffic while you sort out registration, follow the steps below.

Substitute your Sender ID with a Long Code or another Approved Sender ID

You can configure a Long Code or a Sender ID you already have approved to replace unregistered Sender IDs.

Setup takes less than two minutes.  You will need to use the IDN 61 for Australia

Once messages are routing via your Long Code, your customers are receiving them and nothing is appearing as "Unverified."

You can now work through Sender ID registration at your own pace. The process is outlined here: ACMA Sender Registration Process

Don't have a long code assigned to your account?  please contact your Account Manager or send an email to support@tallbob.com and they will assist you.
