Pre-Requisites for Sender ID Registration

Before submitting a Sender ID registration request in Tall Bob, please ensure the following requirements are met. Having these in place will help avoid delays or rejection of your application.



1. ACMA Assist Setup

As required by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA):

  • Your business must be correctly set up in ACMA Assist.
  • At least one authorised user must have permission within ACMA Assist to approve Sender ID applications.


2. Business Information

You must have accurate and up-to-date business details available for:

  • Your business, and
  • Your customer’s business (if submitting on behalf of a client)

Required information includes: for your entity and your customer's (if applicable):

  • Australian Business Number (ABN) or Business name
  • Website URL
  • Registered business address
  • Authorised Representative details, including their first name, last name, mobile number, and email address.


* Authorised Representative: The authorised representative is not the person submitting the application. They must have legal authority to act on behalf of the legal entity e.g. listed on ABR Registry (CEO) or registered in ACMA as a business administrator.


3. Sender ID Information

The exact Alphanumeric Sender ID you intend to register.


4. Proof of Relationship to the Legal Entity

You must be able to demonstrate how the Sender ID is linked to the legal entity. Supporting information may include one of the following, depending on the option selected:

  • Associated ABN
  • ACN number
  • Trademark number (if applicable)
  • Registered domain name
  • Any other relevant information confirming ownership or authorisation


Ensuring all the above information is prepared before starting the registration process will help ensure a smooth and timely submission.
